Cade Essential Oil

Juniperus Oxycedrus Wood Oil is the volatile oil obtained from the wood of the Red Juniper, Juniperus oxycedrus L., Cupressaceae.

Juniperus oxycedrus has numerous branches, spreading or ascending. The leaves are needle-like and in alternating whorls of three. The needles are 1-2.5 cm long and 1-2.5 mm wide, with two waxy, white shallow stomata furrows above and a ridge below and a spiny tip. This species is dioecious.

Cade, also known by several other common names including Juniper Tar and Prickly Juniper, is a variety of juniper that is native to regions of the Mediterranean.

Cade Oil is produced by the distillation of the wood from the tree. Our Cade is rectified for ease and safe use within aromatherapy.
