We are often asked the best way to blend Cosmetic Creams, Lotions and Conditioners. Of course we make all of our products by hand in Surrey England, but this isn't to say there is not room for a little helping hand from mechanical equipment.

Indeed, the homogenisers we use to produce our Cosmetic products perform a task which is impossible to do by hand. At home you can replace the use of the homogeniser by a normal food blender.

We are often asked the best way to blend Cosmetic Creams, Lotions and Conditioners. Of course we make all of our products by hand in Surrey England, but this isn’t to say there is not room for a little helping hand from mechanical equipment. Indeed, the homogenisers we use to produce our Cosmetic products perform a task which is impossible to do by hand.

At home you can replace the use of the homogeniser by a normal food blender. Using a homogeniser (blender) to mix your cream or lotion reduces the particle size of the ingredients which are being blended.

The result of this is a product with improved texture and consistency, enhancing the skin benefits of the final product. As a result of the “sheer” which is created when blending, a stronger emulsion is formed and this improves the stability, often meaning lower amounts of preservative are required in the final product with the added bonus of improving the natural credentials.
