Bis-diglyceryl polyacyladipate-1

Compared to natural lanolin oil, Bis-Diglyceryl polyacyladipate-1 is stable against air oxidation. It does not taste rancid and does not change its appearance during storage. With respect to its physical properties, its neutral odour and its high stability against rancidity makes it a highly recommended substitute for lanolin oil.

Bis-Diglyceryl polyacyladipate-1 is especially suitable for use in skin protection, skin care formulations and baby creams. Its adhesive and aesthetic skin-feel properties are comparable to those of natural lanolin.

How to use

Combine with the oil phase in hot process formulations or simply agitate in the oil process of cold process formulations. Oil soluable, but not water soluable.

Precautions

At pure usage levels it can cause irritation to the skin.

When blending always take the following precautions:

• Use gloves (disposable are ideal)
• Take care when handling hot oils
• Wear eye protection
• Work in a well ventilated room
• Keep ingredients and hot oils away from children
• If ingested, seek immediate medical advice
• If contact made with eyes, rinse immediately with clean warm water and seek medical advice if in any doubt.
